^Lot 3045 WINCHESTER 1873 THIRD MODEL LEVER ACTION SADDLE

RING CARBINE. Cal. 44 WCF (44-40). S# 681077B. Bbl. 20" rnd., with pinned blade front sight and carbine leaf rear sight. Full length mag. Left side of action has staple attached saddle ring. Original finish was blued with case colored hammer and lever. Band fastened walnut forearm and straight grip stock, with steel carbine trapdoor buttplate. Mfg. in 1912. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 3 Piece cleaning rod in butt. CONDITION: metal has a cleaned gray appearance, showing handling marks and spots of very light pitting. Wood has worn finish, showing numerous scratches, marks, and dents. Mechanically fine. Bore is generally bright with strong rifling. (25-1729/DS). CURIO. $3,000-4,000.
